Cause Event Spotlight - Hockey Night in Brighton

Did you know that every year the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association plays a charity game at the Hartland Sports Center? Hockey Night in Brighton is almost here! A unique opportunity for Red Wing fans and families alike to enjoy a night of exciting hockey and help raise money for children’s charities. On March 9th, the 10th Annual Hockey Night hosted by the Well Church will take place at Hartland Sports Center. The event is an annual hockey game featuring the Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association vs. The Well Saints.

The names are starting to pour in as to who could be competing. For the Red Wings, players like Mickey Redmond, Larry Murphy, Jimmy Carson, Darren McCarty, Joe Kocur, John Ogrodnick, and Eddie Mio are players you could see taking the ice. Bobby Hull Jr., son of NHL Hall of Fame Bobby Hull, and comedian/tv personality Dave Coulier are also special guests this year.

The Well Church, although small, has put a big effort into giving back to kids organizations in need. “We focus on two key aspects: 1) They are kids organizations in need. 2) They are local Michigan organizations. Our proceeds benefit The Livingston County Shop with a Cop program, The ARC of Livingston, Reaching Higher, and North Star Reach Camp.” said Scott DesAutel, founder of Hockey Night.

“We are a small church but believe our actions are mighty. My ministry, Community Outreach, hosts fundraisers throughout the year helping needs in our community. We also have a softball ministry, with over 8 teams, that enjoy the game while helping less fortunate individuals in Livingston County.” add Scott.

The Well Saints are up for the challenge, but they’ll definitely have their hands full. The Red Wing Alumni Association is 9-0 against The Well Saints and will look to make it 10-0 this year. All proceeds from the event this year will benefit The ARC of Livingston, Reaching Higher, and North Star Reach Camp. These organizations help children in the Livingston County community. Doors open at 1:30pm, game starts at 2:00pm.

General game tickets are $10. VIP tickets which include entry into the game, and the VIP dinner afterwards at 4:30pm (offsite at American Spirit Centre in Brighton) are $50. Tickets can be purchased here. For more information, contact Scott DesAutel at scott@thewellmi.com.

Addix is very excited to be the custom uniform provider for the The Well Saints team as they take on the Red Wings Alumni. Below are the custom hockey jerseys and custom hockey socks the The Well Saints will wear. Our favorite events to work with are cause events, and this is certainly a fantastic one.
